WE ARE A WARM, WELCOMING, and AFFIRMING CONGREGATION.

The reformation, a movement that led to the creation of denominations such as the Lutherans, Anglicans, Presbyterians, Baptists and Pentecostals, that Luther began 500 years ago is an ongoing and continuous one within our congregation.  We rejoice in understanding that the church, like humankind, is not perfect and we welcome change as our understanding grows.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church rejoices that you recognize the importance of a relationship with God.  We have found that many Christians want to have a better relationship with God and want to regularly attend services to connect with God, hear His word, ask for forgiveness, seek guidance and change in their lives, and reflect on the blessings bestowed by Him.

We extend a never expiring, welcoming, and open hearted invitation to do so with us!  We would love to have you join us!

JEANS ARE COMPLETELY ACCEPTABLE ATTIRE!

WHAT DO LUTHERANS BELIEVE?

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God’s grace (undeserved mercy) for Christ’s sake alone and that that God’s grace in Christ Jesus is universal, embracing all people of all times and all places. There is no sin for which Christ has not died.

We believe that individuals receive this gift of salvation through faith alone. Saving faith is trust in Jesus Christ.  Even faith itself is seen as a gift of God, created in the hearts of Christians by the work of the Holy Spirit through the Word and Baptism.

ADULT BIBLE
DISCUSSION
& INTERPRETATION

We meet Thursday evenings to openly discuss how scripture and our faith interact with the world today.   We don’t just look at the scripture by itself, but we believe the context surrounding the scripture matters, too.  We consider the historical situation, meaning of words and symbols to the original audience, metaphors, and cultural nuances and norms and compare that to how we relate to the scripture’s meaning today.  We grieve how religion and faith have been used to intimidate and harm others, and so we strongly disagree with the use of Proof-Texting.  You may have noticed that by our website content already 🙂

Frequently we also meet prior to and/or after our Sunday service while enjoying some fresh coffee, refreshments, and donuts.

PRAYER GROUP

This group meets at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall every Wednesday.  A scrumptious home cooked meal is served and enjoyed while great conversation takes place.  Following the meal, the prayer format includes prayers of praise, thanks, and supplication.
